Axxela Connects Sheraton, Radisson Blu, Others to Gas Network

Axxela Limited, a leading gas and power company in sub-Saharan Africa, has expanded its natural gas distribution footprint with the successful connection of several new commercial and industrial customers to its extensive gas pipeline network.
The latest customer additions, spanning the hospitality, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, agro-processing, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors, underscore the company’s commitment to deepening domestic gas utilisation and providing cleaner, more reliable energy solutions to businesses across Nigeria.
The connections were facilitated through Gaslink Nigeria Limited, Axxela’s gas distribution subsidiary, and include prominent organisations such as Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Sheraton Hotels, Jawa International Limited, Solem Agro, Abimbola Agro, among others.
Commenting on the milestone, Executive Vice President, Axxela Gas Distribution, Kehinde Alabi, described the development as another step towards accelerating Nigeria’s transition to cleaner energy while strengthening industrial competitiveness.
“These connections go beyond the expansion of our customer portfolio; they reflect our commitment to broadening energy access for businesses across critical sectors of the economy and supporting Nigeria’s drive towards increased domestic gas utilisation,” Alabi said.
According to him, by enabling more businesses to switch to cleaner, more affordable natural gas, Axxela is helping customers improve operational efficiency, lower energy costs, and achieve their environmental sustainability objectives.
“We recognise that collaboration with key players across diverse sectors is essential to powering industries and shaping a more sustainable future for Nigeria and the region. These new connections underscore our commitment to expanding domestic gas use, reducing carbon footprints, and providing cost-effective energy alternatives in line with the Federal Government’s energy transition objectives,” he added.
The latest expansion further reinforces Axxela’s position as one of Nigeria’s leading gas infrastructure and energy solutions providers. Through sustained investments in gas distribution infrastructure, the company continues to unlock the economic potential of natural gas by promoting domestic gas utilisation, supporting industrialisation, and advancing the Federal Government’s vision of building a gas-powered economy.
With a diversified portfolio of more than 200 commercial and industrial customers across Nigeria and West Africa, Axxela has continued to strengthen energy security by delivering integrated gas and power solutions tailored to the needs of businesses across multiple sectors.
Industry observers say the continued expansion of Axxela’s gas distribution network is expected to enhance energy reliability for businesses, reduce dependence on more expensive and carbon-intensive fuels such as diesel, and contribute to Nigeria’s broader energy transition and economic growth agenda.
