Adelabu, Obaseki, Kyari to grace maiden ENERGY TIMES’ Awards 

The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, the Group Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian National Petroleum Company PLC, Mele Kolo Kyari, Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki among other dignitaries are to grace the maiden edition of ENERGY TIMES’ Awards.

Adelabu who is the Special Guest of Honor will lead Nigeria Electricity Supply Industry (NESI) to the occasion, Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC, Mele Kolo Kyari is expected to lead top Nigerian oil players to this year’s event.

Chairman Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote is the Business Man of the year, MOMAS Electricity Meter Manufacturing Company (MEMMCOL) whose chairman is Engr. Kola Balogun, is the most Innovative Company of the year.

The ENERGY TIMES’ Award will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Eko Hotel & Suite in Lagos.

The awardees which were carefully selected include top industry players, organizations and agencies of government whose contributions have impacted the economy and people’s life positively.

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki

ENERGY TIMES first started as a weekly newspaper now bi-weekly is based in Lagos. It was established in March, 2017 to fill the vacuum of in-depth Energy news analyses and reportage in Nigeria.

With a current subscribers’ base of 1,815 that cut across the country, ENERGY TIMES have offices in Lagos, Abuja and PortHarcourt.

According to a statement signed by the newspaper’s Chairman, Editorial Board, Alhaji Yakubu Lawal, being the maiden edition, a team of industry experts was constituted into a body of Advisers to deepen the content of the award.

Yakubu said this year’s award is meant to appreciate and recognize those individuals and companies whose works have in one way or the other impacted people’s lives positively.

Besides, five long standing subscribers to the newspaper will be appreciated.

Yakubu said: “These subscribers, including an organization, have in no small measure, stood by us in ENERGY TIMES from the scratch till date. We are impressed by their sacrifices and the trust they have in us”
