The announcement was made during the 25th NOG Energy Week Conference and Exhibition in Abuja, where the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) also presented Petroleum Prospecting Licences (PPLs) to successful bidders in the 2022/2023 Mini Bid Round and the 2024 Licensing Round.

Nigeria’s crude oil and condensate production soared to an average of 1,735,398 barrels per day in the month of June 2026, representing positive growth for a 4th consecutive month.

He disclosed that NNPC Ltd recorded an average 98 per cent recovery across its five crude oil export terminals between April 2025 and May 2026, compared with operational lows of about one per cent at the Bonny Oil and Gas Terminal in June 2022.
