In celebration of International Women’s Day, Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited (HEOSL),a corporate member of the Women in Energy Network (WIEN) and Operator of the OML 30 Joint Venture between NNPC E & P Ltd (NEPL) and Shoreline Natural Resources Ltd (SNRL), proudly collaborated with WIEN to hold a Career Fair for students in Lagos.
The event, themed Empowering Dreams: Inspiring the Next Generation of Women Leaders, provided a platform to mentor and inspire two hundred (200) schoolgirls from Secondary schools in Lagos. The schools included: Surulere Girls Senior Secondary School; Hebert Macaulay Girls Senior High School;Gbaja Girls Senior High School;Agidingbi Girls Senior Grammar School; Community Senior Secondary School; Ikeja Senior Grammar School; Oshodi Comprehensive Senior High School; Bolade Senior Grammar School; and Wesley Girls Senior Secondary School.
Through engaging discussions, distinguished panellists, including Chisa Otokpa, General Counsel & Company Secretary, Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited ( HEOSL); Ebehi Odejobi, Head of Internal Audit and Control (HEOSL); Chichi Emenike, Acting MD/Head of Gas Ventures, Neconde Energy Ltd; Shirley Ifeanyi, Chief Executive Officer, Zoe Gordon & Co. Ltd; Remi Amoo, Managing Director, Funtay Gas Company; and Lilian Uzodiagu, Senior Manager, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, shared valuable insights to motivate and guide the young girls towards promising career paths.

In his reaction to the programme, General Manager, Government, Joint Venture and External Relations, Sola Adebawo, explained the rationale for his Company’s involvement in the programme. “At Heritage Energy as we champion, we are happy to partner WIEN in empowering these young girls and shaping future leaders. Our participation in this initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to mentorship, diversity equity and inclusion.”
The elated schoolgirls expressed their thanks to WIEN and other organisations for giving them the opportunity to meet and be mentored by women who have achieved leadership in their own fields.
