Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu on Friday, defended hike in fuel price saying Nigeria is going through necessary reforms
President Tinubu while addressing members of the Nigeria Community in China- President Tinubu in China said:
“Nigeria is going through reforms, and we are taking very bold and unprecedented decisions. For example, you might have been hearing from home in the last few days about fuel prices.
“But, can we help it? Can we develop good roads like you have here? You see electricity being constant in quantity and quality.

“You see water supply, constant and running, and you see their good schools. And we say we want to hand over a banner without stain to our children?”, he stated
Meanwhile, President, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Okunowo Adewumi has tendered an unreserved apology to NNPCL Group chief executive, Mele Kyari and management for attacking his personality directly.
NAN in a statement said: “My recent statement criticizing Mr Kyari was not a personal attack but a clarion call to action, urging him to take decisive steps to mitigate the suffering of Nigerians. I use this medium to tender an unreserved apology to Mr Kyari and his entire management team for attacking his personality directly”
