The Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri said Nigeria government would support Waltersmith Petroman Oil Limited’s Modular Refinery in its quest to solve energy crisis in the country
The Minister stated this at the end of his tour of the 5,000 barrels per capacity refinery in Ohaji-Egbema, Imo State.
He said: “I just wrapped up an insightful tour of Waltersmith Petroman Oil Limited’s Modular Refinery in Ohaji-Egbema, Imo State and I am grateful for their commitment to local content development in petroleum production.
“Our commitment to a robust and responsible petroleum industry remains steadfast but not without a stern reminder to license applicants and holders, to adhere to terms and conditions of operations or lose their licenses.

Engr. Simbi Wabote in his brief remark noted that the Board is proud of the partnership with Waltersmith (@Waltersmithng) as it is perhaps the biggest working modular refinery in the country.
He added that when NCDMB saw the opportunity to partner with Waltersmith which is part of the Boards mandate in catalyzing Nigerianization, the Board took it and is very proud of the success story.
