.Says none of 8 plants supplied power to grid
.Despite plants’ consumption of 861,007.18mscf of gas in the month
The Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET) Plc has denied Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) payment for the electricity generated from its eight NIPP to the national grid. This, according to the NBET, is because there was no record that any of the plants supplied power to the national grid, energy TIMES has learnt.
NBET is the manager and administrator of the electricity pool (The Pool) in the Nigerian electricity supply industry (NESI).
NDPHC, from data gathered by energy TIMES, was billed N854,104,159 million, having consumed 861,007.18 million cubic feet of gas in the month of January.
In a memo/invoice from MSN Energy Resources to NDPHC, capturing gas consumption for the month of January 1- January 31, 2023, the company demanded that the said amount should be remitted in line with the executed agreement –GACN/NDPHC/MSN IGSA.
The Gas Aggregation Company of Nigeria Limited (GACN) is responsible for receipt and verification of gas payment from buyers in the Nigerian domestic market.
